Heart Aerospace adds Peter Nelson to its executive leadership team

As General Counsel, Peter leads Heart Aerospace’s legal and compliance team, and serves as Secretary to the company’s Board of Directors. He also plays an important role in upholding Heart’s ESG commitments and coordinating the company’s broader sustainability strategy. In addition to these roles, Peter will also be responsible for IP and Corporate Development, a newly established department to gather key corporate strategic initiatives.

Peter’s experience as a legal advisor spans the aviation and emerging technology sectors. His clients have included major international airlines as well as innovative transportation, cleantech, and other startups. With a background in corporate law, regulatory affairs, and public policy, Peter has spent his career helping companies access public and private sources of funding to accelerate their growth and innovation.

Before joining Heart, he practiced with law firms in Washington, D.C. and Silicon Valley, most recently Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, CA. Peter earned his law degree (J.D.) from the University of Virginia School of Law and completed his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University.
